1. No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive information. All operations remain on your device only.

2. Offline Functionality

App Lock is designed to work 100% offline. No internet connection is required for its core features, and no data is sent to our servers or any third parties.

3. PIN Authentication

You can lock apps with a PIN. Your PIN is stored securely on your device and is never shared or transmitted outside the app. Biometric authentication is not supported at this time.

4. Accessibility Services

We may request Accessibility Service permission only to detect and lock apps selected by you. This information is never logged, stored, or shared externally.

5. Overlay Permissions

We may request the “Draw over other apps” permission to display the lock screen on top of other applications. No information is captured or transmitted.

6. Local Storage Only

All app data is stored only on your device. We do not use cloud storage or remote servers.

7. No Ads or Third-Party SDKs

App Lock is completely ad-free. We do not integrate analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs that compromise your privacy.

8. Permissions Disclosure

• QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: To display installed apps so you can select which to lock. Used only locally.
• PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS: To detect the current app in use and apply locks accordingly. On-device only.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: For local notifications about lock status and service activity.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Keeps App Lock running continuously in the background.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: Ensures app protection starts immediately and cannot be paused for security reasons.
• REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: Ensures App Lock works reliably under battery restrictions.
• WAKE_LOCK: Prevents the phone from sleeping during lock operations.
• DISABLE_KEYGUARD: Temporarily disables the system keyguard for a smoother unlock experience. No personal data accessed.

9. User Responsibility

If you uninstall App Lock without remembering your PIN, or without backing up your data, you may lose access. We cannot recover lost data.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy in the future. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective Date.”
